Small Groups Ministry
At Our Church, we are blessed with many small groups fromYak 'N Yarn, "United Methodist Women", "United Methodist Men", "Pastor's Class", toMen's Breakfast Club”. Many of these groups have been around long before we started calling them Small Groups or Small Group Ministries. As you review the currently active list of groups, you may wonder what makes a small group. You will find that each group is special because they are unique. Small groups are more than Bible study groups. Various types of groups meet the needs of people at different life stages—physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and so on. People own the small groups they help create. Commitment to groups is strongest when leaders use their spiritual giftedness to form groups around needs, interests, passions, and life experiences. A small group will consist of several of the qualities mentioned above, and its important to understand that the group does not need to meet all qualities.
