Church of the Good Shepherd, United Methodist invites children of all ages to join us for Sunday School at 10 AM Sunday School, starting September 11. Rock Solid curriculum is again taught this year based on the scripture Matthew 7:24 Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. “We want children ages 3-12 to build a strong faith foundation so that when the storms of life overwhelm them (and they will at some time or another), their house of faith will not fall away. It will stand strong and give them the comfort, strength, and shelter found only in a loving God. At each age level on every Sunday the children will be invited to a faith experience. It is during this time that they can come to a better understanding of God and what God calls them to do and be. They come to know Jesus as the Son of God and take his messages to heart. They seek where the Bible speaks to them today.”
Our wonderful Sunday School teachers, all 10 have been teaching at Good Shepherd for a total of over 137 years total! They are a loving group of Christians of all ages, meeting the needs of the children and helping them to develop a personal relationship with God, building a strong faith foundation and learning to serve others. Our Sunday School Leaders are Jennifer Elliott, Kim Mattern and Donna Rodriguez with our teachers Sandy Weinke, Lauren Nicholson, Barb Wood, Allison Wood, Dan Wood, Judy Eggenberger, Vicki Heizler, Betsy Kammerer, Pam Roberts and Tiffany Mills.
Good Shepherd is located downtown Oswego and celebrates Sunday Worship 8:30 AM Traditional Service with Choirs and 10 AM Contemporary Service with Exalt! Praise Band. We are celebrating National Back to Church Sunday on September 18 at both services.
