Safe Sanctuaries
Anyone working with children or youth 18 and younger need to follow Safe Sanctuary guidelines. Please complete the following steps to work towards being compliant with the
United Methodist Guidelines
and Illinois DCFS regulations.
Step 1:
Watch this training video discussing the basics of Safe Sanctuary.
Step 2:
Complete the Illinois DCFS Mandated Reporter Training
Step 3:
Print and complete the Authorization of Background Investigation form.
For already printed copies see a church staff or nursery volunteer.
Keep pages 3-7 for your records.
